Gaited Horse Saddles
What makes a gaited horse saddle a gaited saddle? The answer is - the tree the saddle is built upon. The gaited tree is quite different in fit than a regular QH tree. The gaited saddles are taller in the front and the bars of the gaited tree are more angled to fit a topline with lots of curve and angle (such as a tall wither and/or large shoulders). Gaited saddles often fit many other breeds of horse as well as the gaited breeds - from tall withered Thoroughbreds to big shouldered QH's, not to mention Arabians, Saddlebreds, etc.
These saddles are available on 3 different trees - a 6.5" gaited wood tree, a 7" gaited wood tree...and a gaited flex tree that measures about 7.25" in the gullet. The gaited wood trees come in seat sizes 13" to 17" regular price (18" to 21" at additional cost). The gaited flex tree ONLY comes in a 16" and 17" seat and is a additional cost (See more info below).
